Sustainability

Since our inception, the vision of Cima Coppi has been to provide sustainable cycling products. Certifications, a green logo or thick eco-reports, alone, were not for us. They may be enough for some, but we want to know more than we claim, than claim more than we know. How do you define sustainabilty? How do we plan from where we’re currently at, for a future that is sustainable? How do we become a truly sustainable organization? Those were the answers we wanted.
So we went to Europe and learned that Cima Coppi is not a wholly sustainable manufacturer — yet. However, we also learned that we are providing some of the lowest impact cycling products available in the world. In Europe, we studied for a year under the best: Karl-Henrik Robèrt, Göran Carestedt and Manfred Max-Neef to name just a few. In the same way you would apprentice under Dario Pegoretti to learn how to braze a frame, we wanted to know and fully understand the sustainability concept.
We’ve put together our own basics of sustainability primer, which touches on everything we have learned, and are still learning, for you to read here. These are the fundamentals for every decision and product that Cima Coppi is proud of and keep us moving toward our goals, and eventually, sustainability. Enjoy.
